Enemy Ship Designs?
 

When are Enemy Ship Designs updated during the game?

I know there is a bug where if you scan them with a scanner, it doesn't record the info (which would be great if it was fixed in a patch). I also know that if engage in combat with a ship, you retain knowledge of the design.

Do you get any knowledge from your Military or Partnership treaties?

I think you get the ones your partner sees when your he fights an enemy.

Is this the same for Solitare and PBW games? I see that two of my neighbors are at war with another. I have a MA with one of them...Yet I haven't obtained any new information...It would be useful...

The behavior should be identical in both types of games. I thought that only Partnerships share designs though...
