diplomatic Messages in PBEM

I'm currently playing in a PBEM with 10+ players. Recently, we all discovered that when sending Messages, if the message is too long, you can't read all of it !!!

This is really stupid.

Is it really that hard to implement a scrolling bar in the diplomatic window ?

Also, why is it impossible to view gift before you accept them ?

Why couldn't you just type what the gift is when sending gifts. A brief description...(ie..."Dear Friend, here's a Light Cruiser. Have a nice day.";-)

Is viewing gifts broken for player to player trades? I thought you could always click on the view gift or view tribute button on the right hand side whenever you were offered one.
