Ships losing orders??
 

Often we I give my ships/fleets orders to go to the nearest supply base they just seem to stop at the warp points... I notice later on that they've just forgotten there orders sometimes.

I don't think this happens always. And I think it also happens at times with other orders, like move to a certain place...

why is this??

The default setting is for ships to clear orders when they warp into a system what any ships you are not allied with (That is enemy ships or ships from a empire with a treaty level of none in the system) So once they go through the warp they stop. You can change this goto Empire status and options.
