OT - Can someone at Shrapnel help???

...or should I be checking with the webmaster???

There is something about Shrapnel's Forum CGI that causes my browser to crash every time I post to this forum. It also happens if I attempt to reply to a post, then click my Back button to cancel posting. I'm quite confident its not my computer (not entirely anyways) since I post at other forums that use the same Ultimate CGI scripts with no problem - at least 4 other sites / forums I post to use the Ultimate CGI. I'm using Win98 SE and IE 5.5 on a cable connection. The problem is reproduceable every time and seems to coincide with my upgrade to 5.5. I am on the internet quite regularly (once per hour at least) as part of my job so I'm pretty comfortable with what I'm doing.

Has anyone else experienced this???

I know, I know - reinstall, reinstall, reinstall. I have several times. Now I'll need to remove, then RegEdit my IE entries (since MS does such a 'wonderful' job clearing Registry entries during uninstalls) But before I do, I'd like to hear if anyone else has similar problems.

Well, here comes another crash....

I haven't had any crashes, but lately it seems that after I post, I don't get automatically redirected back to the forum. I always have to click on the link that says something to the effect of, "If you aren't automatically forwarded back to the topic, click here." I don't know if that is related or not.

So, of course, I made the Last post and it made a liar out of me. This time it forwarded me. Maybe the other times it was just slow and I got impatient. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...s/rolleyes.gif

It very well could be that you have some corrupted data in your Cache for our posting page. You may want to clear that out.

Otherwise I am not sure we have never had a problem like that reported before.
