Let me put it this way rifleman is much more likely to hit amtrac at longer ranges. Substitute large truck full of ammunition for amtrack maybe

Yes that is true, but effective range also depends on the size of the target, A rifleman firing at an Amtrac or LVT will have a much greater effective range than when he is firing at an...
