512k memory should be a MINIMUM, 1 gig is not overboard.

I'm not sure about the graphics card but I would recomend...

Thanks. I've tried turning it on a few times, but it won't stay after a restart. I don't think I've tried to defrag it yet though, at least not since before I lost it. I'll see what happens...

I use the mod launcher to launch TDM, SEIV loads just fine.
The problem is when I click "resume game" or "load game"...

Then changing the range penalty, like douglas mentioned, is probably you best way. You can mod your weapons with any to hit modifiers you want. Like -50% for the "lance" weapons. Just remember...

Or just cut the damage done in half for all ranges, I know it isn't the same thing as what you are trying to do but in the end it will average out to 50% that way.

I wonder if that is why the reproduction setting bottoms out at 91%. Makes sure you always have a chance to grow, 90% (not possible in stock) might cut growth entirely. Something else for me to...

I'll have to check the quadrant text when I get home to see if they show up in any others. I uce clusters usually and I don't recall them in that one but I have seen them in ancient, not sure about...

If you took over for someone else in toe middle of the game I think you are stuck, at least I have found no way to do it without organic in a stock game. And I havent tried "optimal" but I have seen...

There are 2 "types" of nebula.

1. The usual type, described as "system wide storm", these are the ones you can destroy with a ND....

Try the TDM mod, they'll knock you around a bit. I've been playing SEIV for years and I was just recently able to try it. Lost my first 3 games in less than 70 turns once in about 25. I'm not sure...
