Re: Problem Saving Games

Not to mention simply forgetting things because of a screaming child, not recognising the itty bitty people characters for what they are or, for that matter, remembering what they are or what they do...

Re: Problem Saving Games

Cheater? A bit of a bizarre response (?). I replay a lot of games, sometime after 100-200 turns, just to see how things might go if I try something different.. I imagine most people do.

As far as...

Re: Problem Saving Games

As a newcomer to the games I can only say that I am amazed and baffled. What is there to discuss? Its a simple and straightforward feature that is pretty much a standard convenience in PC games....

Problem Saving Games

How do you save games with different names? I.e. I want to save a game at every few turns so that I can re-start it from that point if disaster strikes. This is a standard feature in all of the 80...

Re: New Galactica Series

Until Adama shoves the president out the airlock and declares martial law, I'm rooting for the Cylons.

Re: Bad Names For Your Ships

This thread brings back a few memories. Back when I PBEM'ed Stars! I had a list of names I used. My memory is failing, but a some of them were:

Angry Sphincter Spluttering
Mint on Liver a la...

Re: The Star Trek Mod - 1.9.0.7 Update Released

Since I don't play PBW, I like updates frequently, provided they fix problems and don't just improve cosmetics.

Re: The Cleansing (Prelude story to the Star Trek

Yep. Good idea. I'd change the 1500 years in the first story to about 5000, though. I once read a book about a horde that scoured a galaxy of all organic material and useful minerals and then moved...

Re: OT: BSG Series

I had not considered the possibility of the President being a cylon. My repugnance toward the kind of thinking she diplayed was too overwhelming. If she is a cylon, that would explain her stupidity....

Re: OT: BSG Series

Really? What a relief. I am so sick of the entertainment industry's attempts to impose its often unrealistic politics on the public that after a few minutes of her orders after evacuating to the...

Re: OT: BSG Series

I terminated the pilot show when the new President moved in and started acting like a complete idiot. The shortcomings with the rest of the show were a strain, but I could manage until her moronic...

Re: Legend of Earthsea == Atrocity

Interesting comments. My 16 year old daughter is a big fan of the books. We watched most of episode I together. She laughed at some of the show (not out of amusement) and was unhappy about much of...

Re: Trek_Bab5 Mod

Has anyone put together a set of Star Wars ships for this mod? I fixed up an AI for the Honor Harrington shipset, but I've seen nothing on adding the SW ships.

Re: The Star Trek Mod - 1.9.0.2 Update Released

Re: The Star Trek Mod - 1.9.0.2 Update Released

Disclaimer: I have never dug into the guts of SEIV and do not pretend to understand the mechanics on a modding nor even play at a "good player" level.

Question:
Is there a real difference...
