Re: Blood Bowl - Single age (Running)

Things definitively didn't go according to plan since extremely early, but... It's certainly more entertaining than I thought it would be, and it's a good learning experience too. "You learn by your...

Re: Thugs/ SC by path in CBM?

In CBM, my favorite budget thugs for Jomon are actually the Ujigami and the Kenzoku and not the Ghost General (though the ghost general is still awesome). Reasoning is:
- Lower or equal conjuration...

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

Well... that was embarassing...

For some reasons, I thought that troops who tried to break out from a siege and retreated returned inside the castle instead of dying. So I ended up waiting two...

Re: Coe

Probably :) I'd say it heavily depends on some characters, though. Some like the Senator do okay if something bad happens since they have a 9 gold base income (although it also means 2 critical spots...

Re: crown of command...

Oh wow! I didn't know that!

I thought that the "No Leader" trait from a unit overrided the crown's power, and that it would only increase the leadership for commanders with starting leadership. I...

Re: Multi-Player After Action Report (Introductions, early game posturing underway)

SOOOOO TRUE![/QUOTE]

Yeah, it's probably a better option than Master Enslave... If you Master Enslave, not only you have to spend a non-negligeable amount of astral pearls, but you are also stuck...

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

That local scout caught a disease from seeing all that action lately so hopefully he'll still be alive by the time the siege resolve! It'll be his retirement present.

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

Yeah, I was wondering :) You mentionned that we should get to see something epic this turn. And yet, when I got the save file, I immediately noticed that it's size was absolutely tiny... And for good...

Re: Multi-Player After Action Report (Introductions, early game posturing underway)

First of, I want to say a huge "Thank you!" for creating this game! I absolutely adore reading AARs, and shared is even better. I'll definitively be reading your thread with great interest. If I...

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

They retain 50% of their casting abilities. Their spider form have 55 hit points, so you can have a bunch of them cast earthquakes and you don't have to be worried about losing any of them. Plus,...

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

Yeah... I noticed.

Well played on that one! I now officially hate pretty much earthquake-immune Machakan mages!

Re: Coe

I actually bought both CoE3 and Dominions 3 on the exact same day. I can definitively see the interest in a faster-paced game, but I have to admit that I prefer Dominions 3 by a lot.

The main...

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

Uh? I got a message last turn that Pangaea was permenently vanquished last turn... Do "game-over" people still need to send turns even if they have no provinces left, or does that only happen on the...

Re: Blood Bowl - Single age (Running)

Well... you could have sent a message to everyone in the ingame messaging system so this way we would at least know that Nation A got betrayed by Nation B, so we could be careful of Nation B...

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

I'd be fine with mattyburn7 doing the AI switch for Machaka: He volunteered, he's from this region of the world and Ashdod's days are extremely numbered either way.

For the force-host, Parone...

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

And so we have our first defeated faction... I'm a bit surprised it took that long! :) That explains why I heard nothing from Pangaea for so long.

Regarding Machaka... Did the turn get...

Re: Blood Bowl - Single age (Running)

I wonder what's wrong with Shinuyamas?

The other game I play is me subbing for a Shinuyama player that also left, and I recall seeing a mention that someone else was looking for a Shinuyama sub...

Re: Blood Bowl - Single age (Running)

It's still quite early and we don't have any of the big dominion-kill nations except for Marignon so I don't think C'Tis disapearance was due to that... Probably more a case of "Let's gang 3 people...

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

Two possible "solutions":

1) Yskonyn changes the e-mail address for Machaka, sends the turn to someone, that someone turns AI on, and resend the turn. It'd be preferable if it was someone not...

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

Pretty much all of those combined. I went for a surrounding strategy so some troops eventually did get through, decoy troops to take the first few spells, a few fire immune troops, and some of your...

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

In "Options", the top option is Become Computer Controlled. I have no ideas if the host has any ways to perform that, though.

Re: Giants and Dwarves [MA; CBM ; Noob friendly] [Full 12/12]

It's pretty much destroyed: 14 out of the 15 commanders died this turn. Regarding turning to AI, I thought it was the player that needed to give the "turn to AI command" and not the host?

Anyway,...

Re: Blood Bowl - Single age (Running)

No problems on my side for the delay.

Man, I got to say that diplomacy is a heck of a lot harder to do with the in-game communication thingy!

Re: Making Hard Choices

For archers, Shinuyama is obviously a great choice (4 types of national archers, all recruitable in every province, and easy access to flaming arrows)... However, the "no troops have shields" does...
