We will be looking into this. It might be a game flaw but nobody else has reported anything like that until now so it might be something has gone sideways with your installtion

First time I have ever had to try that as an option in over 2 decades and I did not see it cancel all bombardments.

All it did in this case was make the unit you were having problems with...
