Re: Ammunition discrepancies

I would appreciate it if you would stop misquoting me. I never used the word 'proof', I said 'looks like'.
I also never used the word "Poove" at any point either.

About the Maultier, there are...

Ridicule me as much as you like, you are missing an major opportunity to make the game more interesting.

Re: Ammunition discrepancies

Actually it looks as though we are both wrong.

looks as though 12 reloads are carried.

Considering the hundreds...

Commonwealth CS thanks and smoke

I noticed that the British early CS tanks have had their smoke shells replaced with HE.

This is a critically important alteration because one of the main reasons British armour did so poorly...

Re: Commonwealth AC and tank discrepancies

OK good so I think we can agree then that unit 350 Staghound + Rkt never saw service. As far as the Tulip conversion, unit 351 I think the game text for the unit you quoted is an error, as regards...

Re: Commonwealth AC and tank discrepancies

British grant tank has the 2" smoke discharger mounted in the turret same as valentine etc.
This weapon would be difficult to use as the entire turret needs to be traversed to aim the smoke bomb(s)...

Ammunition discrepancies

Hello I picked up some discrepancies in ammunition loadouts

UK
Fletcher's book British battle tanks gives ammunition for the Valentines that differ from what the game has.
Unit 030 Valentine...

Re: Commonwealth AC and tank discrepancies

Well the text should include the word prototype as there is no evidence these configurations saw service, but plenty to the contrary

Japanese landing barge, french TD, German flak

Handbook of Japanese military forces 1944, lists armament of diahatsu landing barges as
"20mm Gun; 2 LMG fwd; 2 LMG aft. one or more 13, 20, or 37mm guns and HMGs or LMGs."
and can also carry twin...

Commonwealth AC and tank discrepancies

Valentine tanks in the game have no self defence smoke dischargers, Actually they did have them. The game picture of the Mk XI actually shows them mounted on the side of the turret. Up until Mk VII...

BEF Infantry tank companies

Hello, If you have a look at Browns "British Cruiser Tanks A9 & A10", Fletchers "British Battle Tanks" and Bevis "British and Commonwealth Armies 1939-43" you will find several discrepancies between...

Re: Play balance issue? MG34 vs 50cal

That may be true Dion but probably only because HMG killing power is underrated in the game. The tripod mounted MG34 range is however definitely wrong. I think I have found a bug my bailed out...

Re: Play balance issue? MG34 vs 50cal

Yes I see your point DRG but the tripod is issued with the Scope on a 1 for 1 basis so yes they could choose to use the tripod without the scope. In which case it is exactly the same as all other...

Re: 15mm BESA and other autocannons

Personally I thought a comparison of the 15mm BESA to another similar calibre vehicle mounted autocannon would be more relevant that to infantry rifles. For example
The Finnish Landsverk 182 20mm...

Re: Play balance issue? MG34 vs 50cal

Hi Felix thanks for your interest. In a nutshell what I am saying is that all HMGs whether 30cal or 50cal or their equivalents should get a range of about 30 hexes. Because that is about as far as...

Play balance issue? MG34 vs 50cal

So comparing these two weapons It appears that the .50cal is overrated and the MG 34 underrated which I think substantially tips the game balance as there are so many of each weapon. US up Germany...

15mm BESA and other autocannons

Hello I found some relevant information about the 15mm BESA autocannon, wpn 101, UK OOB.
Looking at
https://sites.google.com/site/britmilammo/15mm-besa
We can see that the 15mm BESA has no HE...

Re: Manpack flamethrowers

I see, there are several in a squad.
I had thought that because the FmW.46 and Lanciafiamme Mod 41 assalto's usefulness is extremely limited I assumed it would be issued not as a General purpose...

Re: Vehicle flamethrowers

Hi blazejos I think chemical warfare tanks had either smoke or flame installations, that is they are two seperate tank types. A smoke tank might be an interesting addition to the game

Vehicle flamethrowers

I had a look at vehicle flamethrowers and it was quite interesting. First thing I would say is that I would remove the Flame weapons ability to block LOS so high burst rates don't present a problem....
