That's where that's hosted, yes. Something Awful has always seemed like a terrible forum to me. You have to pay to join? And then wade through a gigantic megathread for everything...

Yeah with my current schedule there is no way I will be able to reliably make 24 hour turns due to traveling. I had thought 48 hrs was the standard time limit (from reading other MP games).

If you cast the undead pirate global, yes you can have ninjas and pirates.

I also heard that if the pirate hits a province with a ninja in it, the opponent has to face ninja pirate zombies...

Yeah a gold/gem reward would be pretty awesome. Never even thought of using the arena as a cheap way to screw enemy SCs foolish enough to enter though...

I've tried Jomon ninjas a bit and they work early on if the target has no bodyguards. They can throw 2 poisoned shurikens a round (2 times) and if those hit they will kill low hp stuff.

Is the only award from the arena that 2h weapon? I won it for kicks once just to see and found that it forced my arch devil to unequip his lucky coin and weapon.... for a 2h spear that really wasn't...

I'm still a newb but I just build a fortress as soon as I have the surplus to fund its construction. Saving for it means I have less mages and units, which slows expansion.
