Would like to have a deployment zone AND a recon deployment zone say 10-20 hexes forward of the main deployment zone? It will then be possible to build a screen-line. during defense and delay opns...

The MGS is used in a CS role much like the M551 Sheridan was used in the 82nd Abn. The low recoil 105mm has suspect anti-armor defeating performance and the loadout is primarily HEAT or Canister.

Real world response time for a BN level mortar sec is 3-5 minutes. Bear in mind that a real fire mission goes from the individual calling for the mission (in degrees) to the FISTer that converts it...

Make Bn TOC and add it to the XXX Bn Spt Grp in the OOB.

A US TOC might look like such:

1 mech sec (BN staff)
1 Fwd Obs (BN FSO)
1 M577 AOP (BN FDO track)
2 M577 (S-3 & S-2 tracks)
