In windows you can set your Scaling and Layout to something other that 100% at very high resolutions. I think I used 400% for 5120 x 2880. But for 2560 x 1440 I just use 100% and the performance and...

To the game's credit in that its 20+ years old and Don and Andy have constantly updated it, its amazing it works on Windows 10 and 11, and on my massive screen size thing.

Its the sweet spot to me.
