Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

I'm out now. It was a good game, but I seem to have failed the diplomacy angle.

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Well, after botching one turn and staling another, it's pretty safe to say that I'm on my way out of this game. I'll see if I can't take more than a few giants down with me, though.

Any word on...

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Question regarding the Hall of Fame: Who is Orion, and why does he have 1000XP?

Re: Should thugs fight alone or with bodyguards?

As you said, it depends on their role. Against armies, things will vary on a case-to-case basis. Against PD, though, I sometimes send out a couple of 'sturdy' chaff only if my thug needs to do some...

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Is Atlantis having some sort of trouble getting its turns in?

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Sorry; I got a new laptop just before a brief trip, and when copying programs over to it Dom3 somehow got overlooked. I plan to play this game through to the end, and won't stale again.

Re: Nooblies - EA [9/8] players [Runing]

Welp, there goes my one shot at breaking out of this decline. All that's left is to see how high I can pile Yomi's dead at the gates of Rocknest.

We will not go AI into the good night.
We shall...

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

It's always fun to see a random event for the first time, even if it doesn't change strategy or anything. Patala has a free animist (providing no path benefit whatsoever) and a couple dozen free...

Re: Nooblies - EA [9/8] players [Runing]

Well, that was unexpected. Thank you. Yomi, your destruction of Sauromatia's army is greatly appreciated.

Also, if anyone stands to gain by having the armies of Sauro or Yomi tied down, feel free...

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (submit pretenders)

And the game begins! The Markata are very eager to seek out new life and new civilizations, and then fling poo at them!

Re: Nooblies - EA [9/8] players [Runing]

Hmm... In the interest of causing chaos, who would like to know the locations of the three bonus sites that I have uncovered?

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (recruiting)

I've only got 2 MP games under my belt (plenty of SP, but the difference is so great...), but if you don't mind a newbie throwing his glove in the ring, I'll play as Patala.

Re: Nooblies - EA [9/8] players [Runing]

What's going on with Fomoria? A dozen turns ago or so, I heard that they were in a losing war, and now I'm seeing them making some bold moves.

Well, since he's not answering...

His PD archers shot and fatally poisoned them.

Re: Nooblies - EA [9/8] players [Runing]

I've got my turn in, but since I've been busier lately I've not done screencaps and notes for several turns. Not too big a problem for your AAR, though.

Re: Nooblies - EA [9/8] players [Runing]

Ghill, did you just stale?

Also, the RNG favors Hinnom, granting it a free fort right in front of the Sauromatian army.

Re: Nooblies - EA [9/8] players [Runing]

Number Four is Yomi. He's decided to gnaw on my southern borders.

EA Abysia's a pretty newbie-friendly nation, in my opinion. You have one primary strategy for all problems: MOAR BURNING ONES!

Re: Turn 29: OH FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Fixed that for you. Also, sending an immortal pretender into enemy dominion for solo raids is never a good idea. Pretty sure they have to die in your own dominion to revive.

Re: Nooblies - EA [9/8] players [Runing]

While we wait, random banter time~

I'm really bad at arranging armies for pitched battles. I seem to have thug strategy down pretty well (see: TNN), but I thought Hinnom would be better for major...

Re: Newbie questions about SuperCombatants

How are Eye Shields in SC v. SC combat? I've used them for bait-thugs (distracting enemy chaff while mages do their thing), but do they need to pass an MR check or have some other trait that makes...

Re: Nooblies - EA [9/8] players [Runing]

I finally bothered to read the MotD. Why am I the 'bloodthirsty giant war machine'? I'm just minding my own business, and then suddenly everyone decides that HinnomLand is their most desirable...
