Re: Turn wont proceed bug

He should try hitting Z instead of Y, it's a common problem with non-english keyboards (QWERTZ instead of QWERTY).

Re: Trouble adding new pics with the OOB editor

What do you mean by
?

I hope it's not just renaming the extension from jpg to lbm, because that won't work. You have to convert the file into the other format or save it as lbm in the first...

Re: mI-8 / mI-24 in German Service

[/QUOTE]

After the reunification some craft were evaluated by the Bundeswehr, one Mi-24D and one P were given to the US-army as OPFOR.
The rest was flown in non-regular duty and finally retired...

Re: mI-8 / mI-24 in German Service

I can confirm the operation of Mi-8 by the FRG after reunification. Saw the military raffle off free flights in Hueys and Mi-8s. (Won flights in both, but gave the Mi-8 flight to a buddy who didn't...

Re: Modeling Polish 10th Motorized Brigade

The guys in the second picture have backpacks, rifles and wear battledress. The guys in the first picture seem to be in full dress, no backpacks, no rifles.

Backpacks take up a lot of space.

Re: Paper Panzers (New and Improved)

The german word for hull (tank) is not Hülse, it is Wanne.

Looking forward to use those toys.

Re: Close Assaults

Here you can get the 1942 german service regulations for close assaults:

http://www.lexpev.nl/downloads/h.dv.4694panzernahbekampfung1942.pdf

It is in German, but there are a lot of pictures.

Re: deleting saved game

You can also overwrite an existing saved game by choosing it instead of an empty slot. You then have the option to rename it.

Re: Rally at 0

You will see that every time you rally successfully the rally number of the rallying unit goes down, IIRC by two.
A zero just means that a rally attempt was not successful.

The rally number will...

Re: King tiger turret armour

A right angle has 90°, not 100°.
So 81° means 9° and not 19°, 80° means 10° not 20°.

Confused Re: Shurzen

The effect of Schürzen vs HEAT has been discussed hundreds of times.
I'm wondering why nobody asked the real question regarding Schürzen in all these years:
Do Schürzen protect against anti tank...

Re: Capturing Enemy Kit for Core

I haven't thought that far (no surprise here;)), I was just checking if it was feasible at all...

Re: Capturing Enemy Kit for Core

That's why I provided the links to show that it did happen, not only in the Wehrmacht but also in the U.S. Army and the British forces.

Re: Capturing Enemy Kit for Core

You can't buy enemy equipment if you want to have it in your campaign core unless someone put it in the OOB.
And to have it in the campaign core is/was the point of my "brilliant";) idea.

Smile Capturing Enemy Kit for Core

Hi everybody,

reading a thread on the WinSPMBT board I had this idea:

It would be neat if you could use kit abandoned by the enemy in the next battle (so it could be checked for booby traps,...

Re: heat penetration

HEAT armor 0 means it is the same as steel armor.

HEAT armor is not 0 only when it is different from steel armor.

Re: Odd AI Behavior

A 30° angle (towards enemy) adds 2 to the front armor of 14 and doubles the side armor from 5 to 10. Side hits come in at an angle of 60° and should ricochet very often, as you experienced (just...

Re: Odd AI Behavior

Regarding auto pivot
How about teaching the AI not to present 12 o'clock but 11 or 01?
Just like the drivers of a Tiger were taught, show the corner, not the front (for Tigers it was 10:30 and...
