Re: The best PD ?

I have once routed a fairly large Fomorian PD with 4 common longdead. They are like comic relief characters of Dom3.

Marignon PD is quite nice, with all those crossbows.

Re: Question about EA Tir Na N'og

It is not easy, considering that a lot of other changes were already made to counterbalance the removal of hammers, so anyone who tries to make a custom version of CBM will have to decide which parts...

Re: Question about EA Tir Na N'og

Maybe as soon as this needless change is reverted, either in the main mod or in a usable custom version.

Re: Question about EA Tir Na N'og

Adding a bit to my previous comment, there is one other thing to be said in favour of using hammers: hammers are a safe investment, while thug gear isn't. So, it's not like "you have 3 thugs or you...

Re: Question about EA Tir Na N'og

Your theory is too crude. Just one example: if we again compare thugs and SCs, one of the main differences between them is that thugs are expendable, while SCs are not. So, you equip a thug, he...

Re: Question about EA Tir Na N'og

Sure, we can spend E gems on hammers, or we can spend them directly on equipment. But does this calculation take into account the fact that different types of gems have different utility depending on...

Re: Question about EA Tir Na N'og

In practice, I think TNN suffers heavily without hammers. When hammers were in, you could take E on pretender (not a bad idea anyway for sacred thug nation, so no wasted points), and you had little...

Re: Question about EA Tir Na N'og

Re: Question about EA Tir Na N'og

Soothing Song is still present. And I think that Healing Song does not give regen.

Re: Question about EA Tir Na N'og

I have played as TNN once in MP (vanilla), and performed reasonably well. My solution to the rush problem was hiring a Sorceress every turn and going directly for Thunderstrike. I think you can hit...

Re: CBM 1.8 released

It is British spelling, as opposed to American "color". Both are correct. Or is there some other mistake I fail to see?

Re: LA Game - World of Symmetry 8/10 left

Yes, Patala's scout attacking the ninja was a nice finishing touch to the whole thing.

But I wonder if you are correct about the bug. Wouldn't such situations happen more often if what you say is...

Re: LA Game - World of Symmetry 9/10 left

This is my second time playing Jomon in MP, and both of them ended exactly the same way - using thugs to fight a long hopeless battle against superior armies and mages. I conclude that the thugs are...

Re: LA Game - World of Symmetry 9/10 left

So, I finally lost my capital. Good work, Bogarus.

But do not think that this is over. Whatever happens, we will fight to the end.

Re: CBM 1.7 released

Actually, an almost perfect solution to the investment problem would be to limit the number of gemgens according to the number of provinces. For example, instead of being magic items, gemgens could...

Re: Vote

Yes, I fully support this. This is actually the reason I don't care much for the EDM - providing alternatives to Tartarians is great, but not same summons for everyone to use. Caelum or TC summoning...

Re: CBM 1.7 released

The changes I am referring to were discussed for a long, long time both here and on the other forum, and I tried to contribute to it. Now, instead of all those things that were proposed since it was...

Re: CBM 1.7 released

I fully agree with this. Removing gemgens was a radical change, and it worked, but it does not mean that CBM needs as many radical changes as possible. EDM, hammers, SDRs - aren't there too many...

Re: MA Ermor pretender design

Well, I found Adepts of Silver Order, so Air was easier for me.

But Hidden in the Snow is a really great spell, especially for Ermor. It is easily castable, not very expensive (W gems do not have...

Re: MA Ermor pretender design

I recently used an O3L3 S9 Oracle as MA Ermor in Multiera Mithril Might, and I am very happy with this build. Got into lategame as one of 4 surviving nations an a major power, and only after a...

Permanent sub for LA TC needed

Sharivar (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=43958) needs a sub for LA Tien Chi. We are well into endgame now, so all research is completed, and you will also have a decent gem income...

Re: Multiera Mithril Might (Started)

If we can find a sub, fine. We can also just end the game with Marverni as winner, fine with me too. I think this will be the result either way, the game can go on almost forever (I have unlimited...

Re: Sharivar - LA game 4 bussy ppl, running

I'm sorry for inconvenience, but I will be out of town starting somewhere in the middle of the next week. This will probably be for a long time, and I do not know when I will be able to send turns...
