Re: Late game woes...

Late game is the bane of any 4x or 4x-ish game. This one included.

Re: NEWBIE GAME - EA - Stumble onwards to Victory! [STARTED 12/12 REMAIN]

I say okay to the delay, but "nay" to the rollback.

And I sympathize. I missed a turn last weekend thanks to a misunderstanding as to when the turn was due. Just enjoy the extra unspent $$$,...

Re: Nap-3

It's the ambiguity of it all that tickles me. We can see how genuine diplomatic crises could erupt and be taken advantage of. Say I have a NAP-3 with a neighbor, but I've come to a point where I...

Re: Completely absurd question

I'll continue in the spirit of the thread title -- Are all summons upkeep free? If not, how can you tell what the upkeep is?

Re: Nap-3

I'm glad I raised my hand and asked the question! I almost didn't, since many folks who have posted on this thread are people that I had previously made NAP-3 agreements with. Hehe, err, sorry! I...

Re: Nap-3

Actually, I really like Vanguard's idea (the Non-Aggression Pact that lasts 3 turns.) Maybe call it a 3-NAP. As mentioned in this thread, the NAP-3 really hamstrings you as an attacker, as you lose...

Re: Nap-3

My apologies, bbz. I was using spies and scouts interchangeably. I am a n00b.

What the hell is a spy?

Re: Nap-3

Mattyburn's definitions is the one I had in mind. I've been going around agreeing to these. As a pretender god, I feel that I have to pretend to know everything, otherwise I'll be exposed as a mere...

Nap-3

Do you ever pretend to know something, because you think you know it, but you are not sure?

I think I know what a NAP-3 is. What do YOU think it is?

Re: a lEArning experience (Newbie EA CBM1.92) [in progress]

So I've been eliminated. Do I need to do something to "go AI" or does the game know to just ignore me and not wait for my turn?

Re: NEWBIE GAME - EA - Stumble onwards to Victory! [STARTED 12/12 REMAIN]

. . . and do NOT check the box that limits your private messages to folks on your contacts list, which is right below the "enable private messaging" box. I sort of checked boxes willy-nilly, which...

Nevermind, I think I got it.

I am dumb. Please enjoy stomping me into the ground.

Re: NEWBIE GAME - EA - Stumble onwards to Victory! [STARTED 12/12 Remain]]

Crud, you started without me. I had internet trouble last night, so couldn't get my pretender up.

Good luck, and I will destroy you all next time!

Re: a lEArning experience (Newbie EA CBM1.92) [in progress]

Here is the Tragic Tale: I had three provinces adjacent to my start. One was weakly defended, but rather worthless. The other two were more stiffly defended, but more valuable. Of those two, one...

Re: a lEArning experience (Newbie EA CBM1.92) [in progress]

Dude. I will trade starting locations with ANY of you. I can't imagine a crappier starting location. Maybe underwater with my non-aquatic race would be worse.

Barely.
