If the limit on the number of mages you recruit per turn is anything other than your available gold, then you haven't built enough forts.

Except for the nations with the most powerful recruitable...

I tried that. All i see is that the frost fiends dont seem to be taking much damage from the giants even with protection 9.

But you can only build a single mage a turn per fort(and you cant even queue them), which is a pretty huge limiting factor (not to mention collecting them from all the forts), and they are so squishy...

Why do national troops become obsolete? Right now im playing Niefelheim, and the best demon summon i can do en-masse are frost fiends.

They are undead, you can just reattach an arm or something. If you have the magic to raise the dead from the ground, you can surely do that.

So the entire point is not to use national troops? Doesnt that remove a lot of diversity? Since nations tend to play pretty similar if you use the same summons...

I tried making a niefel jarl SC early game, frost brand, vine shield, horned helmet, ethereal robe, boots of the messenger, lucky pendant, ring of regeneration.

It was pretty much impossible for...

How do you avoid horror marks then? I thought theres no way to resist it, other than hoping the AI marks the wrong unit.

Is there any way to deal with unit killing global enchantments if you do...

But if you blood hunt too much, unrest will go up and you wont get money anymore.

You can go through the list of priests and give them a healing ability (say 10% for every priest level) if you want, but it will be fairly annoying job.

I should also add : I have had the most success using rainbow archmges and the llike so far. Having 4 or 5 paths at level 4 is great for site searching and makes your pretender really versatile for...

My main issue with it is that if you buy a combat pretender, you only get to use him for a limited time before afflictions and horror marks render him useless (mute/feeble mind even destroys his...

My issue with horror marking is that all you need is a L2 astral to cast horror mark and you can assassinate a god(granted, over a period of time). Its just too easy IMHO, considering the permanence...

Also, i just started as Hinnom and i got a Rephalim hero...and hes eating my population? Uh...i have plenty of food available,...
