The unit was 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division. If I remember correctly, they lost a couple of Bradleys from either tank or antitank gun fire. At least one of their M-1's was...

One of my tanker friends used to talk about how the Snake Drivers (AH-1W)would get pissed when they were tracked by an M-1A1.

Sorry it's taken a while to respond; USMC tank company has 4 total mine plows. Ususally two are mounted and two are carried in the combat trains for backup/redundancy.

I'd have to ask one of my tanker friends on the distribution of mine plows/blades within the company. I'll get back on that one.

You are correct. Prior to the adoption of the M-1 series tanks the tank platoon was 5 tanks strong. Upon adoption of the M-1 series, platoon strength shrunk to 4 tanks.
