Re: Re-Vendetta

So far the slave lizards seem to be taking the transition well. We are gradually teaching them to use their tridents for spear-fishing and hay baling, and the runners have revolutionized the...

Re: Re-Vendetta

We will miss you C'tis. Everytime one of our commanders dies of a horrible wasting disease, we will think of you.

Also, could we have a 12 hour extension? Peace has made us fat and lazy. Well,...

Re: PD wars! (no monkeys allowed)

In my current game, mechanical militia paid for itself in the first turn in terms of the number of raiding groups it surprised and killed. It's also great as an offensive raiding tool, since each...

Re: Re-Vendetta

We will miss you Abysia. The world is a little darker without your constantly burning hellish flames.

Re: Re-Vendetta

How dare you sir! How dare you! The SC name has been passed down through generations in my family, dating all the way back to my great great great great great grandfather, who was a great Kraken....

Re: Re-Vendetta

Jotunheim brings good news to all peaceful nations of the world! The streamlining of C'tis's armies continues. Almost every soldier they sent north to trespass upon the sacred mountains of Jotunheim...

Re: Re-Vendetta

Well, that didn't work as expected. :) Any idea why my bane lords didn't participate in the communion? I guess you have to have some magic paths in order to benefit?

Re: Re-Vendetta

Could we extend the hosting period to 48 hours? I'm having trouble with the 24 hour deadlines.

Re: Re-Vendetta

It looks like Man has gone absent after seeing the immense size and power of Jotunheim's armies. A wise choice, and one that I would recommend to any future foes facing our fearsome forces. Does...

Re: OT: Starcraft II and Elemental

Maybe that's my problem Folket, I've been playing on normal. I'll try to go back to it on Brutal and see if my impressions change.

Re: OT: Starcraft II and Elemental

Well, perhaps I shouldn't be too hard on the campaign. They have some neat levels (a volcanic planet where lava regularly floods the low ground, a high UV planet where conditions change radically...

Re: OT: Starcraft II and Elemental

SCII is alright. The single player campaign is laughably bad, but the MP is enjoyable if you like tight, competitive games. MP plays very fast, and does require a lot of clicking, so I wouldn't...

Re: Re-Vendetta

Well, thanks for playing everyone. You did your best, but in the end were no match for Jotunheim's theoretical giants.

Re: EA Agartha - the game's red-headed stepchild (CBM)

Oh, I am not denying the early game weakness at all. Getting to a competitive position in the mid game definitely requires luck, diplomacy, and a willingness for ruthlessness. I would say that...

Re: EA Agartha - the game's red-headed stepchild (CBM)

It involved staking out a decent position by mid-game, turtling up, and then using remote attack spells (mainly Black Death, Tidal Wave, Volcano) plus Raven Feast. Besides the direct damage to your...

Re: EA Agartha - the game's red-headed stepchild (CBM)

No, besides some water nations I don't think I ever fought anyone with national access to water. You're right though, Wolven Winter (or fighting in cold provinces in general) is going to really hurt...

Re: EA Agartha - the game's red-headed stepchild (CBM)

I recently won a large game with EA Argatha, so I thought I would chip in a few more pieces of advice.

- A bless of E9N6 is very solid. You can expand quickly and cheaply against independents,...

Re: Worthwhile summons (early to mid)

Behemoths and the skeleton calvary are both decent choices. If you have national death mages, you can convert your entire stock of death gems into summons in a single turn, which can be a nice...

Re: Night of the Long Knives?

For those of you upset about the impious bannination, I would point out that Starcraft 2 is now in open beta. :) I'm playing it, and really loving it. I think I'm going to finish out the last...

Re: New EA Rich game, Eden (Game On)

I would be fine with calling it. For a while now I've been mulling over an all-out grab for VPs, and breaking ~5 NAPs in order to get a quick win. So far though I've been going with the slower and...
