your movement log probably doesn't work because your host hasn't sent you all the files. If he only sends you the *.gam file he is messing up. All the *.txt files that the game generates are needed.

You can retrofit multiple ships, but i can only get it to work if they all get fitted to the same class. I believe the culprite to be the order screen, when you order a retrofit you select the ship...

An other reason Rocket pod fighters are not too powerfull is that they only fire on ships/planets.

I have noticed that when you retrofit it apears not to have occured when you give the order, as it isn't executed till the turn is procesed, the same way mines are launched from a planet with remote...

the lowest level phased shields don't have equal points to the previous level normal shields, he might be refering to the drop from one level to the next.

You can process the turn with out a players file, but the AI tends to make a mess of the ship design sets, but that isn't a biggy.

The other great thing is that shields don't seem to block mine damage, so if you have an opponent who is shield heavy, this might be your only chance to get some licks in.

You can't research planetary shields, those are an artifact tech, you discover it on a planet with ruins.
