Yeah, David, transparency turned out being a bit tough. Well, not the
actual transparency part. I wanted just the initials (which I post on my artwork...well, that's what
I call it

). But when I gif'd it, it left a white-gray border around the edges of the letters...anti-aliasing, I'm guessing...but it was ugly. I tinkered with it to get just the black stroking on the lettering to appear, but to no avail. I changed to a lavender background for it and it looked OK. But I still wanted just the lettering to appear. That's when I tried copying the background color here (not noticing that it alternated when reading Messages

)
I sure wish I had a cure for the "ghosting" of the edges, though, since I'd really like to have it by itself. (I saw one somewhere that someone had like that and
it didn't have "nasty" edges.
