In a TDM solitaire game, turn 845, I was guarding a warp point when the United Floral sent in a huge force. Here's the breakdown:
Me: 200 dreadnoughts
80 baseships

254 dreadnoughts
144 heavy carriers (around 40 to 50 heavy fighters on each)
In strategic combat I killed every enemy ship and lost 29 dreadnoughts and 20 baseships. A couple of dozen more were damaged to various degree.

Having the first shot, you had a great advantage! 
I never had the patience to play games until the turn 845... then, my biggest battles were with near to 100 DN for each side. |
