Well the kinetic energy imparted by impact of a projectile is a fairly common formula for those of us interested in terminal ballistics.

KE = MV^2

or

Kinetic energy is equal to Mass times (Velocity squared)

Einsteins famous formula (E=MC^2) is for the total conVersion of a mass to energy, as in nuclear warheads.
