Yes, I have seen these scenarios – and I applaud each author’s ingenuity and efforts. However, like the map editor, I think a drag-and-drop capability would be more user friendly. I would be willing to pay money for that functionality.

What is wrong with supply ??? I think it is much better system than any other space games !
Intelligence should be reworked, I agree here.

As to combat system, I still have HUGE reservations about real-time combat in SEV. And 3D graphics - no, thank you. I like ST, SW and Bab5 races custom made for SEIV. I doubt it can be repeated for SEV.

I would like the ability to transfer supplies between vehicles/colonies and vehicles/ vehicles exactly like cargo.
I would like to have the option to build supplies just like facilities or vehicle via construction.

The combat system in SEIV for human vs. human simultaneous games is the perfect compromise. SEIV is a combined tactical-strategic game. If you played out each combat in real-time, the strategic game would never progress. If you only played the tactical combats, you would get “fight to the death scenarios” and no repercussions (damage, supplies, position, etc) in the context of a strategic game. If you used combat results tables to determine the outcomes of tactical combats, you lose the tactical game entirely. Tactically, SEIV allows the player to design ships, give limited orders to ships and fleets, and then lets the computer play out the combats and report results – all within the context of a strategic game. Elegant. So for my money, I would like to see more player control over how the AI executes tactical combat – strategies and formations that can be more carefully scripted by the player combined with an accurate simulator. This would work equally well in 2D or 3D.
