Yes, it was satisfying. And somewhat practical. He stalled there to regroup, and I got to show some other players I could at least hold my own.

Or defend it heavily, and make sure you have some recon on the other side of that warp point to give you a hint if something is on its way to pay a visit.

Point was, you can't really defend each planet against all threats. And warp point combat is tricky sometimes. But combat in deep space is a more even playing field.
