The range check error comes and goes at very odd times. If I encounter it I reload and just wait until the fighting is over.. that usually gets me around it.
As for weapons range - any time I set it over 400 the game gets unstable and the error comes all the time.
Other than that my little personal mod works quite well - and it's pretty balanced. I'm still having my butt handed to me on the highest difficulty setting.
