Thanks for the comments. I spent a considerable amount of time tyring out every texture I could find. NONE of them worked or looked good. So in the end, knowning that they will never be cannon, I opted for the smooth hull look.
I am a bit defensive of these sets because of the time and effort I had to put into them. Try making a set of your own and you will soon see what I am talking about.
Aside from being fun, coming up with the new ships was a challenge. Most federation ships look a alot alike, and there is not much you can do about it. I tried, and hit or miss, I did it.
