I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill... I do honestly think the 3d shipset thing is being blown out of proportion by some people. It isn't that big of a change for most shipset authors. It has absolutely nothing to do with "leaning on anyone not completely in favor of SE5"... In fact, if you review more of my recent postings, you will see numerous complaints.

Seriously though, if you want forums that will always be devoted to SE4, you could always use SEnet:
