1) Set your graphics to a higher resolution, in
windowed mode, than your desktop and it will use the available desktop less the Windows task bar at the bottom of the screen. See the Game Guide, "Tuning Your Machine" Windowed mode section. So 1680 should do it for that one. (Remember to not use 'auto hide'.)
