Mainly posting here to say that there is currently a newbie game that is signing up if you are interested in playing in it. The thread for it is a couple of threads below this one. (the thread is called Firststeps)
The game itself is actually being run on a sort of off-shoot of this forum, so please feel free to sign-up if you are looking for more than one game to play in. The actual game thread is here btw.

Although please don't let me or this game dissuade you in any way from starting your own game here. As right now there are probably too few players who are willing to organise and admin games, so it's always good so see someone happy to join the admin ranks
