It's just the name I use for my empire whenever I play. In SE3, I used "Moebius Concordium", but for SE4 I've been using "Moebius Consortium". Moebius for moebius strips (I like weird math stuff) and consortium because, well, it sounds cool. And I like the idea that my empire is more a collection of small empires than a monolithic structure.
