See the Mobhack help for the technical nuts and olts data of the game.

Mobhack->Help->Weapons tab and then see the box on weapon classes.

specifically
Quote:
Class 19 - Auto Cannon - this operates exactly like any other auto cannon, but it has limited AAA capabilities against lower flying planes and helicopters. Thus, this reflects the mounting, rather than the weapon - it is possible to have say 2 14.5mm or 20mm cannon with the same stats, but one will be class 19, the other typically class 5. The difference here is that the class 19 version represents a high angle high traverse rate type mounting, but the class 5 version would be in a low elevation, low traverse turret mainly intended for anti APC work.
My emphasis for clarification. Unlike regular cannon, they can fire at helos.

Also, Like class 5 weapons Autocannon also do not close down due to suppression, unlike dedicated class 4 FLAK weapons, though Class 4 can shoot at higher altitude fixed wing as well.

(In the next release, class 4 weapons wont shut down completely if suppressed, but will lose more shots than other turreted weapons since they are assumed to be pintle mounted)

Cheers
Andy
