Re: At What Point Do You Know You Have Won

I think that limit (10 turns) may have been reduced for Proportions. Or is 10 the reduced figure? Onyway, the problem is the opposing infantry rather than the militia. If I can chip away at the troops bit by bit with high-tech troop units, I reckon I could probably take out the militia.Quote:

		| Dunno how it works in simultaneous, but in 'normal' play each troop landing causes 10 rounds of ground combat. You're not going to get enough troops on a bunch of Scouts to avoid (extremely expensive) defeat in detail. |

This is a true thing. Only problem is, I went bankrupt a few dozen turns ago (captured too many ships - D'oh!) and it will take me forever to build up my reserves again.Quote:

		| What you have to do is accept that you have to go into deficit spending, and 'get it done' before you go bankrupt. That's not going to be easy with a small homeworld, mind. You might have to spend some time building up your storage first. How long are you prepared to wait? |
I guess I'll think of something. A siege is definitely part of strategy, as soon as I can knock out the fleets and stations.
