I've made a potential EXPERIMENTAL map label editor -- it's still in early test, but you'll now be able to copy your label annotations from the contour map creator's output TXT file:

Quote:
(92,44) B5
(96,37) B4
(96,49) B6
(98,56) B7
(98,65) B8
(101,90) B11
(102,19) B3
(105,72) B9
(105,78) B10
(108,14) B2
(110,95) B12
(111,1) B1
(124,96) B13
(127,102) B14
(131,110) B15
(134,119) B16
(136,129) B17
(148,131) B18
(159,134) B19
And it writes it into the map file at those locations.

I've also tested it's ability to inject new labels into existing maps via specifying a hexlocation and string.

It appears to work.

This would considerably simplify laying out such things as railroad lines, roads, rivers, etc.
