It's been a long time since I've chimed in on this board. I took some time away from the game, but I'm very pleased to see that the community is still going.

I may have posed this question years ago, but the question is still unanswered in my mind. Has anyone tried playing the game against other people while the game itself is running on remote server? It seems likely that the game would have to be running in the Hotseat mode in order for that to work with some opaque graphical layer over the game allowing for some mouse and keyboard input. I'd like to avoid exchanging game files.

If someone has done this could they share their experiences with it? Were they able to restrict player access to underlying game, OS, system, etc. files and settings?
