I'm working on another map
The idea is same as isolated islands, but the first powerful being of note to realize this was the demon Baal. The demon is powerful, but not strong enough to ascend to godhood himself. In an effort to prevent the spread of the new pretender gods, he forged alliances with island war-queens and sub aquatic empires, creating strong borders between the pretending god's homelands. He labored to fill the lands with preachers who preach the gospel of the old one god, in hopes that faith can be maintaned, and to ensure the people of the allied empires do not believe in the new pretenders.
It will be for 2-4 players, with 11 land and 5 water provinces in their "safe" areas (the unsafe areas being baal's)
The lands are separated by great seas, so sailing, sub aquatic movement, or teleportation will be necessary to reach the other pretenders.

edit again: i screwed up adding magic paths to some of the commanders, it should be fixed now.
