Scenarios....

I'm curious are there any designed scenarios out there? I've only ever seen the tutorial listed. Does anyone take advantage of this function or is it just another button on the main menu?

Scenarios will come out eventually, but shipsets and mods are the current focus.

There are some nifty scenarios for SE4, if you've got it.

Regretably I don't own it I borrowed it from a friend a long time ago and it was the pre-GOLD version. I got SEV for Christmas, but then was saddened to discover that Gamestop offered SEIV Deluxe if you bought SEV from them.

As SJ said scenarios will come later. My TC needs work but once I get past the major hiccups and the bumps are smoothed out and the AI is complete I have something around a dozen source books worth of scenarios I can do for it.

Classic can be patched up to deluxe for free.

Regretably I have tried, but it doesn't recognize my version and the solution is to reinstall and as I stated I don't have the CD.

This is for SE4 classic:
The Exodus scenario, which runs under
P&N v2.3c

The basics:
- Your people have lived the life of a neutral, and not expanded beyond your well developed binary homesystem.
- The primary star in your system is going to go nova in 30 turns.
- You need to quickly pack up everything you can carry, and find a new home. Unfortunately, the AI empires are well developed, and are not going to be very accomodating.

The stated goal of the scenario is to rebuild your homeworld with stellar manip and recolonize it. The practical goal is your short term survival

You've got superior ships and tactics, but you won't be able to actually afford them for very long.
