Cheats?

Are there cheats for this game? I know that you are asked to enable or disable cheats when creating a new game; so what are the cheats or where can you find them? Just curious.

The cheat detection switch only checks the in-game ranges. In other words, is your pretender within the legal numbers allowed. With cheat detection off, you can create a pretender with all prime dominion settings and all magics to the max.

Servers do it sometimes for special games. But then its up to the person running the game to check for pretenders that are "legal" within the rules they setup for the game.

But doesn't the pretender creator stop you from doing that?

Yes. That doesn't mean you can't just edit the .2h file.

I think if you edit the .2h file you get an error because you do not hash the file correctly. I spend a lazy sunday afternoon trying to figure out how the file was hashed, but didn't pursue it enough to crack it. (It is probably something easy, and old. At least the files are not encrypted).
