Default Copying Maps During a Battle

Can you? I know you can make a copy of a map before the battle starts with the scenario editor, but can you make a copy during a battle?

This would be good as an automatic function at the end of a battle, that way it would include shell holes and other types of damage too. It would especially be useful if you were designing some type of fortified position and wanted to use it again in a random battle, or if you were designing a campaign and wanted to used it in recurring situations, like counter attacks and such.

Exclamation Re: Copying Maps During a Battle

  1. Click on the Scenario save button
  2. Save the scenario
  3. Open Preferences and turn off Objective flags and ID tags
  4. Open the scenario in the editor--- Use the buy button to remove all the units but the HQ's
  5. Click on the SAVE MAP button and save it
  6. Open the map with either the extended map editor or the in game editor

The whole process takes under a minute with a bit of practice and can be done at any point after the scenario start
