Default golems and regeneration

recently spent all my astral gems and kitted out a golemn with hydra armor/ring of regeneration. but he still does not seem to be regenerating.

what gives? is it because he is a magical being?

Golems have the lifeless trait, things with lifeless won't regenerate even if you give them healing items.

There are potiential substitutes for lifeless units. Soul Vortex works just fine for them, which means armor that grants it in the case of a Golem. The Wraith Sword also works to a limited extent, though it isn't exactly a good weapon. Both of these options are horribly overpriced in vanilla, but viable in CBM.

That's not what he's asking, he wanted to know why golems don't get the regeneration ability even if you give them a hydra skin armor or a ring of regeneration.

Constructs have to go to the labs to be fixed.

Regeneration has no effect on them.

just putting him in a lab allows him to regain hps? so i guess u are saying, if he loses 25 hps in a battle, they do not automatically regen?

Try a poison golem with a standard of the damned, jade armor, and anything else you want to add (boots of flying for strategic movement, wraith crown for survivability (the golem won't run when the skellies are killed), amulet of magic resistance to protect against lots of spells, resistance rings as appropriate depending on gem availability and exact role).

See what you think of that. This is a very effective blocker and anti-thug.

Lifeless and Never Heals are two different traits. I don't believe golems have the Never Heals trait (they are definitely Lifeless). They should have full health for each new fight just like any other unit.
