Default Full Game Impressions?

Anyone with the full game willing to share impressions of it? Curious to hear about how the full game plays.

I would tell you that the full game plays like a combination of first kiss/hitting a grand slam/winning the lottery, but since I'm with the publisher you probably wouldn't believe me.

So instead I'll say that I've heard from a few folks who are reviewing this and so you should start seeing initial reviews hit around the end of the month. Hopefully before then some customers will chime in.

It was our third top selling game last month so people are buying it, but I guess they're shy when it comes to forums. We've had a couple of initial reviews come in that can be checked out, and hopefully we'll start seeing some modding.

Its not really a game that pushes forum conversation. Such as, the Dominions forum. That game sells quite abit but the forum traffic is mostly multiplayers looking for games, and people asking questions about modding.

I expected forum questions to pop up here when people decide to use the builtin game engine to create a game of their own.

I'd agree with that. Once modding begins to open up hopefully the forum will be a'buzzin'.

I just recently got this game. My impressions so far is that its a really simply, yet fun and addictive game. Basically you have to get through the dark dungeon without dying from monsters, or by running out of lamp oil. Each level has an exit and a rope, you need to find the rope on each level to use the exit. Each level is randomly generated, so its always a new challenge. As you go deeper better items, monsters, and dangers appear, and also the need to conserve that precious lamp oil for light! Its fun trying to see how far you can make it.

One thing I really like is a cool action rpg feel to the game, with stats, experience levels, items, weapons, etc. With its modding power Id bet some really cool stuff could be made. I have already been getting into the modding and am planning a rpg mod with classes, abilities, item restrictions based on class etc. More on that later.

If you have any questions about something feel free to ask, I'll do my best to answer.

One last thing. Was there ever a Native/C++ guide made for this? I may need to write a plugin for new features of my mod, so any info on that would be great.
