Vehicle reverse ( 8 key) question for all players

the rest of the time the tanks simply refused to reverse but no messages, no indications of why it did not do it. I say for 30 seconds on one tank and just gave up. Like you then the next tank, 2 seconds and backed up, then the next tank nothing nada ???

WEll, if it hasnt got enough points to reverse (it costs several times the forward speed) - say there is a wood or rough behind it, then it wont budge. However there is then a message played at the bottom of the screen "XX cannot reverse" or somesuch when it has insufficient MP to do so.

Have you been watching the black message window 9at the bottom of the screen) for these messages?

I have been and when I see it I stop pressing the button and there IS a message the reports when you do not have the MP to reverse but there is no indication that because you have trees or rough behind you you cannot AND I have been starting with examples that have not moved

Just restarted a game and tried to back up a T-55S and it did.....on the forth press of the button and it was not just a quick tap.. it was a one second hold and it was clear terrain. I just reversed another one but it took four increasingly longer holds on the 8 key before it took the hint and it was clear terrain behind the vehicle and had not moved before this

I use the top of the keyboard and simply tap 8. Tank will move one hex and stop. (after the slight delay for the reversing message) If I hold the 8 down tank will move more than one hex but with the slight delay for the message between hexes.

No problems here. Though I remember it was abnormally slow. Couldn't tell if it was the hot key or my computer, but in the end it worked, I just had to wait for it. Seems to work OK, just sluggish.

I removed the 1 second message delay on reversing, so the string should appear while it is in the reverse and not pause and wait for you to read it, once the new EXE is released.
