Default PzKpfw M4 748 (a)

Attached is my attempt to replicate a M4A3 in Late War German multi-color tone camo as a Panzerkampfwagen M4-748 (a).

The following known Shermans were captured per Beutepanzer (LINK)

LINK II

2 x M4A1 in North Africa

"Several" M4 in Italy

Greatest use was after Normandy:

21 Pz Div (4 tanks)
25 PzGr Div (4 tanks)
10 SS Pz Div (10 tanks)
PzBrigade 150 (10 tanks)
sPzAbt 503 (Captured Firefly from 148th RAC/33d Armored Brigade in Mid-July 1944)

5.Fallschirmjäger Division captured 6 x M4 tanks during the fighting near Wiltz on 19 December 1944.

I./ SS. Panzer-Regiment 10 captured 12 x M4A3 75 W of the 43rd Tank Battalion on 17 January 1945.

In August of 1944, the Captured Tank Company 281 established a platoon of five Sherman tanks (with 7.5 cm guns) that had been captured in Russia.

10 SS-panzer Division reported that they had one operational Sherman on 15 April 1945 in 5/SS-Panzer-Regiment 10

On 8 May 1945, the 3. PzKompanie of PzJagAbt 346 had the following composition: 5 PzKpfw III and 3 Sherman tanks. 1 x 7.62cm Sherman and 2 x 7.5cm Sherman.

---------------------

On 31 March 1945, Panzer Company Berka was set up using the Berka Test Center tanks:

3 x Jagdpanzer 38 (1 with recoilless gun)
1 x Pz IV
2 x Pz III
2 x Sherman 75mm (50~ rds ammo)
1 x Sherman 76mm (50~ rds ammo)

---------------------

About 2 (or 3) M4 Shermans were found knocked out in Berlin in May 1945 (possibly from Kummersdorf Proving Ground)

1296 but especially 1297 that already exist in the files would be suitable for scenario use of captured Shermans used by German forces 1944-1945
