Default The Old SP camoworkshop Icons for sp2/3

will any of these icons work in winspmbt.
I still have them and like alot of them.
well actually I know they most likely will work, just wondering about how big of a task to replace the current ones.
anyone know how many shp files have been completly changed over the years?

Don I believe all those old icons were yours can you help any?

basically I would like the use the Grey W german ones..
Quoting from your read me file from years ago...

The following files contain a complete repaint of all GREY West German AFV's , Aircraft, infantry and crews for SSI's Steel Panthers II: Modern Battles AND Steel Panthers III: Brigade Command:1939-1999........These files are interchangeable with both games.
Icon0010.shp
Icon0026.shp
Icon0027.shp
Icon0028.shp
Icon0035.shp
Icon0041.shp
Icon0045.shp
Icon0047.shp
Icon0052.shp
Icon0063.shp

Do you know if any of these can simply be swapped out?

The icons are mine not Andy's.

The Icons files and internal code numbering system is **completely** different for WinSPMBT than they were in SP2. ( they are not even remotely close... )

Some of the old ones still exist in some of the Icon files in WinSPMBT but in 99.9% of the cases the old one's are not being used and have been replaced by newer, better versions

IN \Game Data\Design you will find WINSPMBT_MasterIconList.txt .

If you use FIND with your text editor/reader and enter 'Leo' you will find quite a number of Leo 1A1's and 1424 is just one of them. When you do find 1424 you will see this

{8152, 8153}, //1424. Leopard 1A1/1A2----GRN

1424 is the code number for that Icon ( the One thousand, four hundred and twenty fourth Icon in the code ) 8152 indicates it's located in Icon0081.shp in spot 52 for the hull and 8153 indicates it's located in Icon0081.shp in spot 53 for the for the turret.

However, that is the way the GAME reads a SHP file. The short version of a long story is the game and SHPEdit read a SHP file in different ways and you need to ADD 2 to SHPedit to find that Icon

For example. 8152 in the 52 spot in the eighty first SHP file. If you look for that with SHPedit you need to enter 54 to find the hull and 55 to find the turret.

WHY you would want those old, somewhat inaccurate Icons is a mystery best left to you to understand. However, that's as far as I'm willing to go to help you sort that out. The new German stuff is spread over a great number of shp files and if the old ones HAD been worth keeping they would still be in use
