Default What do the "c," "R," and UR" really mean?

I do understand that C means common and Rare means rare, but what do they really mean? Does C mean common everywhere or only on that planet? Same for Rare.

For the most part, a C means that it is common on most, if not all, the planets. Occasionally, an item may be slightly rarer on some planets than others, but for the most part, the Ratings apply to the item itself and its overall rarity in the galaxy.

The rarities can change, and do change, very frequently during the game. So now you can add the strategy of storing up a few items and wait for them to get more rare and then sell them later.

That raises a good point. Maybe you can create bank vaults to store our inventory and wait for the rarity to increase.

Also, we do need much better ship offerings based on the time or date of the game. If I am playing 10-15 rounds, my cargo is probably 1000 or more and have decent weapons. Ships being offered should certainly compete with this and maybe offer certain benefits that I simply can never buy. Please consider this.

Hmm...interesting thought. Though part of the strategy I think is to make the most of your 15 inventory slots, and protect them from the pirates.

As far as the ships for sale and their stats available, i'm beginning to think you may be right. I'll look closely at it, if I do another patch.

Thanks for your input!

It's noted in the patch readme: U is for Uncommon. It has a slightly different price scale than Common does, and doesn't come up as often for sale as Common items.
