It's okay (at least it is in vanilla).
Not as good as Wild Hunt. Makes it so three gorgons attack various targets based on their use of blood magic.
Check out the wiki for more detail.

It would be interesting to hear if anyone has ever used either of those spells in MP.

Aside from the question of whether they're considered a worthwhile use of gems, my suspicion is that neither global gets used very often in MP because it's a declaration of war / cancelation of NAPs with all the other players in the game, same as with Burden of Time or Astral Corruption.

OTOH it might be kind of entertaining to have both Astral Corruption and The Kindly Ones in effect at the same time. No one is safe! I wonder if that would make an interesting apocalyptic SP scenario - both of those in effect from turn 1. If that isn't hellish enough, you could add The Wild Hunt and BoT.

Somebody used kindly ones against me when I was jotunheim. It was annoying as hell. Constantly blood hunters got killed. And mages that where ready and scripted could get killed after they lost the slaves.

But it was mostly annoying. But for the amount of gems used. (A normal cast iirc) it was the best usage of these gems.

I don't remember the Furies being particularly tough, either. A few bodyguards should fend them off

IIRC, they autocast Darkness.
Well, if you`re, for example, EA Ermor and have a NAP with Marverni and TC - why not?

They're actually pretty buff - huge fear, ethereal, auto-casting Darkness, flying, large poison aura, multiple attacks...

The problem is that, unlike other "screw all of y'all" spells, the Kindly Ones don't provide you with a large advantage or significantly harm the rest of the world. Burden of Time and Astral Corruption are real PITAs, the Forge and the Nexus will quickly make you unbeatable. 3 random dead mages per turn isn't going to change much, even if you sometimes manage to get a good one.

Don`t blood mages accumulate insanity while Kindly Ones spell is up?

I was on the receiving end of the Kindly Ones in an MP game with friends at work, playing as Ogre Kingdoms. I was already on the ropes. That alone wasn't the KO, but it certainly sped the process. I would say it was definitely a worthwhile move by my opponent.

I have experience casting Wild Hunt in a game on this forum, my first such game actually. In whatever version of CBM we were using it was like level 4 or 5 Conjuration. I was playing Fomoria and rushing Conjuration to get Morrigans and cast it around level 20. I then couldn't figure out why no one would respond to my requests for diplomacy.

It was a small game, 6 players on Tyrande_2. Casting it so early in such a small game made it much more effective. It was actually the only forum game I've won.
