Default Regen vs Affliction, no effect until 10%?

While I think it's common knowledge that the higher the regen the lower the chance for affliction I was wondering if anyone knows the exact formula.

I've noticed that at 5% regen (which I use a lot, N4 being a common pretender path I get for non-N nations), the affliction resistance isn't actually noticeable, in fact from rough observation I wouldn't rule out that it doesn't do anything for affliction, though I wouldn't rule out some slight effect which my rough observation can't detect.

On the other hand, at 10% regen I noticed that suddenly the affliction resistance is very noticeable, to the point that even if halved it should have been very noticeable too, so it doesn't seem 5% regen is actually half of 10% regen when it comes to affliction resistance. I conclude either

a) affliction resistance increase is not linear to regen % increase: 5% regen gets very small bonus whereas 10% gets a big bonus.

b) affliction resistance bonus only applies starting at 10% regen, any less and there's actually no bonus.

c) My rough observation is completely wrong, and 5% regen really do get half the affliction resistance as 10% regen.

Of course I can set up test to figure it out, but I figure someone must have done it before me / code dived / read an old thread on the subject

When it comes to all these sorts of number questions, how hard would it be for a code-savvy Dominions player to crack open the game files and have a look?

Regen's supposed to divide the affliction chance by 4 no matter what the regen level. How it acutally works may be different, of course.
I wonder if you notice nothing at 5% because 5% for a human probably regenerates 0hp/turn. I guess the only requirement would be to regenerate at least 1hp/turn to have any effect?

Better regen supposedly gives better affliction resistance. This is despite what the FAQ says, because the FAQ was written before Kristoffer commented on that. Possibly in one of my email conversations with him.

Suffice it to say that regen reduces affliction chance, exact details of mechanic unknown, but more regen should be more effective.
