Default Smallest Laptop to run AI?

Hey, all,
For anyone who runs Approaching Infinity on a small laptop/notebook/netbook/(TABLET?!)(with detachable keyboard ofc)

I am asking because I want to buy that smallest thing that can reliably do that. So can you tell me of your successes? (and failures).

Thanks,
Bob

Question Re: Smallest Laptop to run AI?

Would running the demo be a good enough test?

Hmm, I don't have any pathetic laptops with anything later than Windows XP on them. Is Vista+ an actual requirement or just something in the System Reqs because it's unknown territory?

Well, I say you could just check. The worst that would happen is that it just won't run, and I'd wager a guess it's probably the latter (“unknown territory”) due to the fact that most people simply don't have anything with a pre-Vista Microsoft OS.

one of the older operating systems (xp maybe) , I don't recall which one, actually does tend to reach a point where ai crashes repeatedly.

it's not really the OS I'm concerned about, just the processing power... AI's not exactly intensive, just don't want to go too low.

thanks guys!
