I got bored Last night after watching The Two Towers so I tried my hand at making something new. Please forgive the crudeness of it. I had to make some compermises to get the general look.

What do you think?

Nice, but it needs to be a bit more 'verticaly elongated' to look like a proper Minbari cruiser. They sort-of resemble 'angel fish' in their extremely narrow, vertical design.

BTW, the original design for the Romulan Warbird (the one seen on TNG, people always get that confused with the TOS Bird of Prey which looks completely different http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif ) was a vertical design; instead of the "wings" projecting outward, they were to project up and down. It got scrapped, IIRC, because a vertical ship is hard to get good shots of on a horizontal TV screen. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

ok, to shorten it.

in lotr, some of the elves lived on a magical island. i think it's called valoran or something like that. at that time the world was flat. then there was mythylogical anger and the elves where kicked out and the world was made round. and the island was seperated from the world. but the elves can still get there on ships going flat.

it's magic.

And yes, you are 100% correct. Minbari are the Elfs. Very perceptive.

I did this ship to see if I could do it. I did it, and yes I can make it even better now, but I can see no reason to. I have even made the White Star, and it looks brillant, but I will never make a B5 set. Not my interest.

Design is, and to have been able to use a program like DOGA to do this was rewarding. I would love to learn 3d Max, had the program once, but can't find my disks. In retrospect, I should have taken more time to learn that program.

Hey I have no problem making ships if people want them, but they might not be cannon or look spot on.
